Religious BBQ - based on the Bible and the Quran
Publisher: Library of Congress Controll Number: 2011914074
"Nothing can be discussed in the whole world under the shadow of war and offense. Have you ever notices that even if you are the best parent in the world, you will not manage your family as long as you threaten your children or shout at them."
These declartion in the preface is the central theme of Neda M. Kaizumis Book.
„As citizens on the planet Earth, we have the responsibility to reconcile two generations of Muslims and Christians. The issue is not, who is right and who is wrong. Doctrinal questions about the differing religions are not the point. My passion is to teach love and peace to both generations of children to usher in a fresh beginning.”
This statement, taken from the introduction chapter of Meda M. Kaizumis book, is describing the fundamental intention of the author. She wants of the bottom of her heart an understanding between the adherents of different religions, especially of the young Christians and Muslims.
But she is not at all thinking of an approach of different dogmatic expert opinions. To harmonise dogmatic differences is not possible, but it is not at all necessary too.
Religions is not born in the head, but it is subject of the heart. And our heart needs and produces love. But because love is the kernel of all religions, than it is obvious that followers of different gods can realize peace and mutual understanding and they have the obligation to realize peace and mutual understanding.
Believes in different dogmatic subject should not and may not hindrances against understanding. And if they create fights and killing, than is that a horrible crime, that has not at all to do anything with God and with religion.
I will give an example for the possibility of coexistence of different opinions about historic subjects. Mrs. Kaizumi writes:
"The Quoran depends upon the Bible for evidence of its own authority. Christians however fail to see that the Bible contains prophecies of the Quran and Muhammad."
Due to my education in Religious Science I do not think, that any part of Bible contains prophecies of the Quran or the Rassoul Allah. In addition to that I also do not think, that the Jewish Bible contains prophecies of Jesus.
But in spite of these different opinions, we both are convinced, that the inner centre of all religions is love. And that is the only thing of importance. Different opinions cannot and should never become reasons for any expression of hostility.
The book contains interesting summaries of different branches of Christianity and Islam, and additionally a little bit to shortcut depictions of other religion.
The author is born as Muslim and converted to Christianity. But she has preserved a very warm corner within her heart for Muslims, Quran and Islam. In spite of this, she is not blind to wrong turns in the field of integration.
“Sometimes the idea of integration is misunderstood, and the host country is forced to change their laws according to what the immigrants want. That is absolutely wrong.”
Meda M. Kaizumi is a Christian that is burning for understanding and love between Christians and Muslims.
I want to point out that in meantime there are also grown up Muslim movements fighting against terrorist intolerance and for understanding and cooperation with all other religions.
One movement is Indonesia based: >>> LibForAll.
(Moslems gegen islamische Extremisten >>> LibForAll Deutsch)
The other has developed in India the an Indian. The Dawoodi-Bohra Movement has as Shiite background: >>>Dawoodi-Bohras.
